Rubber car mats and side steps 2020 Rav4 hybrid

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi everyone,

I've been told at the dealer that the rubber car mats are no longer available for sale...

I can't find another dealer with a parts department,

Has anyone else heard the same?

Where do you normally get your parts? Besides eBay

Toyota Direct Parts still seem to list them ... but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will have them in stock.

As I recall there was an issue with Toyota's original supplier of these items, which may explain the dealer's view, but I've no idea whether this issue is ongoing.

Thank you! I'll check with my dealer again on the sidesteps and wait for the mats I guess 🙂

What was the RRP for the car mats? Is it worth waiting of originals to come back in stock?

I really like our iQ and Auris ones

The company making mud flaps and rubber mats went bust, carpet mats £60, rubber were about £80, no ETA for those rubber ones coming back in stock

My dealer supplied me with a set of rubber mats plus the boot mat few weeks ago. First time I saw the two back mats on one piece bridging over the middle. I think there was trouble obtaining them as the mats set didn't come with when I collected the car but 3 weeks after.

It's frustrating for customers, the amount of times we get asked if we can order them is slowly going up and up. (For my dealership at least) As far as I am aware, there isn't any talk on them coming back into stock, but equally there was no real chat about why they stopped producing them.

I am now aware, partially thanks to Parts King and discovering it myself eventually, the company went bust!
