2007 rav4 diesel crank sensor wiring

Bro in law has a catastrophe in progress. The serpentine belt snapped and took out the crank position sensor plug. The wires are all there unbroken but as usual, it cannot be sensible and match colour for colour it has to be six different coloured wires that need connecting together.

On the one side I have red, grey and greyer, on the other side I have brown, black and white. Pictures attached for what they are worth. I suppose they could possibly have made it harder to get at if they had put more effort into it but they are as good as I could get. I don't even know which end is the sensor and which end is the car. Both the brown and white wires on the plug seem to be ground.

The wires are not broken but the plug is smashed off one side. The car is at the side of the road, obviously not being a motor vehicle, rather it is an obstacle and it needs shifting ASAP.

Can anyone give me the pairs so I can get the thing going.

white with a black stripe is ground, black is signal, brown should be power

you should have a resistance reading between the ground and the 12v

edit, resistance 1.6-3.2 K Ohm

Had it towed. Bro in law was too impatient to wait.

Cheers anyway.
