Confusing Lights

Took my Corolla to the Toyota dealers the other day. I was convinced that my front parking lights were only half working. There is a strip of LEDs horizontally that runs along under the bonnet that light up and connected to these is what looks like another set of LEDs and that run diagonally from the horizontal LEDs that are not lit up. According to the Service dept this is correct and the diagonals are just fancy aesthetics.

Why make it look like a LED strip.

There is so many designs of headlights it's difficult to compare, if someone has a 2020 Corolla can you please confirm

Best to take pictures of your lights and share here and say about the trim level. 2020 Corolla has two types of headlights both led and Corolla saloon has more types including non led but halogen bulb filaments. The best from all are the excel spec , full led with projector style., much better light from all others.
