Hi, need to tow a friends Corolla a short distance. I had a look under the the front and can see a large D shaped closed hook under the engine, and some other hooking points on either end of the front underside.

Is the one under the engine designed/suitable to be used for towing?

Thanks!

Used the hook below engine which pulled the car out, and not just the engine! 🙂

Yes, the one in the centre under engine is a tow eye and jacking point.

Hi Baz,The large D shaped closed hook under the engine is likely the towing hook designed for situations like this. It's typically the most secure point for towing. The towing points should be shown in the car's manual. Glad you got the car out.
