Hi all

Im considering the new iPhone but it has USB C connector and my 2020 corolla has a USB A (standard) connector for the Apple car play.

Has anyone on here found themselves in  that situation and did you use an adapter?

I’ve Googled people using the adapters for car play but not managed to find any Toyota specific experiences, but others have complained about it losing connection constantly with other car models.

Thanks

Thanks pal. That’s what I would be doing.

just wanting to know if the Toyota CarPlay plays up with it.

+1 for Anker ...have used for USB C Android and lightning iPhone. First port of call for me if I need USB cables. Good choice of colour and length as well

I use this very cable in mines - the angles mean it doesn't stick out and fits nicely in the cubby hole.

I use it with an iPhone 15 Pro but also worked with my Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Ugreen cables as good as anker or even better. Apple own cables are the best, sadly too expensive. 👍

For over a decade I've been loyal to Anker but recently been very happy with the Ugreen stuff. That cable on Amazon seems to have hit and miss reviews, I suspect some car USB aren't putting out the same power and that's the root cause.

Yes, UGREEN makes the best cables and chargers I've come across over the years.  Solid and reliable.

Behind that, I would go with Amazon basics cables, which are surprisingly reliable also.
