Have I overfilled my oil? Avensis 2008 2.0 d4d

Ive just done an oil change on my Avensis 2008 d4d. I completely drained, changed the filter, and filled up with 5.5L of oil (should have been more from what i saw online (6.5l overall).

 

When I check the level on my dipstick it is comically high. When i went for a 10-15 minute drive all was fine, no white smoke etc. Anyone else have this issue when reading the dipstick from this car? Or have I filled it too much?

You should be fine at 5.5L, you might be 200ml or so overfilled, the 6.5L figure is for a completely dry engine i think, no residue anywhere, no oil in galleys components etc, the Avensis dipstick isn't the easiest to read particularly with new oil. 

 

.Just keep a regular check on it.
