Apologies if this has already been covered somewhere but I have done a search and not come up with anything.   Also looked in manual and user guide without success.

I have a new 24MY Corolla TS Icon.   So led reflector headlights.   They have a noticeable throw and kick-up to the left.  Does anyone happen to know if there is a way of electronically adjusting them for driving on the right?   Or if the car adjusts them automatically when the GPS detects that you are in a RHD country?

My previous car (Audi A4) had led headlights with flat beams that didn't need to be adjusted.   The Corolla headlights clearly do...   I fear that I could be going back to stick-on beam correctors (generally rubbish in my experience).   I think that all they really do is avoid issues with the Gendarmerie and GC Trafico.

I have the same model lights, the manual is very poor unfortunately.

looking at the headlights there doesn’t seem to be a marking for where to put the deflectors/tape to adjust them for Europe.

there’s also no mention of how to adjust the height, on a previous VW it was easy for me to raise/lower each side with an Allen key.

I find them to be set low in the Corolla, even loaded with luggage in the boot I haven’t had to use the headlight height dial as the lights are still ok.

I took my car into the dealer, but they said the lights were set correctly, Toyota must use quite a low setting as standard on the icon so you might be ok in Europe without deflectors .

Thanks for your reply.  Rather confirms that it's back to beam deflectors.   Very last century.

I suppose that led reflector headlights aren't very different to halogen apart from the whiter light and lower power consumption.

I actually find that the setting is OK, or at least par for the course, but the nearside headlight is noticeably directed to the left and higher than the offside.   All well and good for the UK but I think that they would need correcting for Europe.   Hum ☹️
