What bulbs did you use? Ta.

When I stopped selling Toyotas in 2022 we had a normal Rav Hybrid take 11 months roughly - didn’t get to deliver that actual car as we switched the customer into one we had in showroom just before we stopped being Toyota.

The question of changing bulbs to LED’s has surfaced a few times so I’ve posted a separate thread.

I used the same bulbs for the vanity, curtesy lights,

the boot light, I original used the ones above but then changed to a more powerful version,

the rear seat bulb is a festoon I used this version, it was a pain to take out the old one and I had to use plastic tweezers which I also used to fit the new, I had to bend the contacts slightly, not sure it it should have been a different size but I know I’d pushed them out of place,

the LED internals are bight so you have to decide if you want that. I wanted a good level of light so I’m very happy with the results.

Wing Mirror repeater lights and puddle lights.

Reversing Lights,

The reversing bulb change is an easy one.  On the boot lid are two square panels these can be released and inside is a white/grey holder with the cables in a small clip. A turn of the holder and the cable extended out of the clip and the old push in bulb is ready to be changed. Interestingly one of mine just fell out never connected. This is what I used, it's W16W LED. No flicker or errors as far as I can see.

Why did you stop being a franchise for Toyota ? I am assuming it was that Toyota wanted you to be a sole trader for their products ?

It was Arnold Clark - the two just couldn't agree to continue on together. Any reason I could say would be a half truth.

Thanks @ernieb!

32,000 miles in 28 months. Main fault has been sunroof failure 3 times. Otherwise all pretty good for reliability even if some of the material and tech quality is poor for such an expensive car.

What issues have you had with the sunroof just out of interest. How did they fix it?

Not had any issues with mine but on the last car (Peugeot) it was hell on Earth.

Twice it jammed and wouldn’t open and once it jammed fully open. Compounded by the dealer making a total b8ll8cks of the third repair.
