Hi,

Failed hybrid Battery test and gear shift error code on year 5 service. Dealer not given report or not informed me on collection. On enquiry, one guy reported, you won’t get report as Battery failed check. My 5 year warranty finishing in few weeks. I am not sure I will get same cover after 5 year. I got report at end & they told me to repeat check after 500 miles. Service manager told I am leaving car on neutral gear which cause error code P085D. Even though I wasn’t.

Hi,

you very likely have low 12v Battery and most like you will need to fully charge it with smart charger or replace with new one.
Hybrid Battery will be ok on a 5 years old car. If you don’t drive regularly or not long enough each time you start the car 30 min + your 12v Battery is likely dead. Buy new battery and your faults will most likely disappear and after 500 miles book your hybrid battery health check for your future warranty .

That' s not the costumers problem when the car is in the garage for a hybrid test. The garage has the skill and knowledge, and they must charge the 12V Battery, if the testproceduce can successfull.

Not giving the costumer the test rapport seems a bit suspect.
