How to get 2015 Toyota Auris (diesel) into relearn mode?

The tyre pressure monitoring sensor has been replaced on one rear wheel of my Toyota Auris diesel 2015; now the TPMS fault light remains on in the dashboard. It cannot be cleared by using the Reset button. How do I (simply) access the settings to calibrate the new TPMS into the system, and ensure all the sensors are recording accurately. Thank you.

Hi Alison, this is the recommendation for TPMS reset online.

Check all tyre pressures, make sure all tyres are inflated to the recommended pressure levels.

Ignition Key Position, insert the key and turn it to the On position without starting the engine. For push button start, press the start button twice without pressing the brake pedal.

Locate the TPMS Reset Button, the reset button is usually located beneath the steering wheel, or it might be near the lower dash or in the glove box. It should be labelled SET or have a TPMS icon.

Reset the TPMS System, press and hold the TPMS reset button until the TPMS indicator light blinks slowly three times.Release the button and wait for several minutes with the ignition in the On position to allow the system to recalibrate the sensors.

Drive the Vehicle,Take your car for a short drive at a speed of at least  20 mph for about 10 to 15 minutes. This allows the system to recalibrate and recognise the new sensor.

If the Light Remains On

Double-Check Sensor Installation, make sure the new sensor was properly installed and is functioning correctly.

Professional Reprogramming, sometimes, the new sensor needs to be programmed to the vehicle using a TPMS tool. Many garages and tyre shops, or dealerships have the necessary equipment to do this.

OBD-II Scanner: If you have access to an OBD-II scanner with TPMS functionality, you can manually input the ID of the new sensor. This step might require professional assistance if you're unfamiliar with the process.Hope this helpsl:smile:
