Tow bar mounted thule bike rack

Hi

Just wondered if anyone has a tow bar mounted Thule bike rake on their RX? 

If so, is it all OK? Sturdy and quiet/rattle free?

Yes, 'inherited' one from in laws (borrowed it for a holiday, then father in law mounted his time trial bike on the wall instead and didn't want the carrier back cos it's effing huge and he puts his ridiculously expensive two wheelers inside the car when transporting anyway). Works fine mounted to Toyota "factory issue" towbar, no wobbles etc.

No worries. Just be mindful that the nose weight of the towbar is 70kg (from memory), so if you have 2x 25kg bikes, you may want to double check the weight of the bike carrier itself - a quick check of Thule website suggest the 2-bike carriers are <20kg, but the 3-bike ones are marginally over.

Thanks, nose weight is a new expression for me 🤣

I plan to take the batteries out before (only takes a couple of mins) which will also save several KGs.
