Anyone fitted different engine on the IQ

Somehow would doubt anyone has. Probably everyone will say get a more powerful car if that is what u want.

When Toyota designed the IQ it was said the engine bay would accommodate the 1.6L VVTi from the Corolla.

technically a 2NR-FKE from a late (17-20) Yaris will fit, not sure if the bell housing bolt pattern may be different due to the gearbox (diff and shafts at the front)

if you have the time and money anything is possible

 

the v8 cygnet IIRC is mostly space frame

there was (< 100) of IQ GRMN cars 1.33 120 bhp, supercharged in 09 and a second lot in 2012

iirc there is a 1.8 2zz VVTLi swap but the 2ZZ is getting old now (tuners use the 2ZR as a base for newer cars)
