ecu is shutting everything down like a box of fireworks in a fire, the fire still burns but makes one hell of a sight. if the car is a hybrid with tubo, maybe a turbo specialist may help remap the ecu.

Cool thanks for input.

Someone also mentioned my O2 sensor.

Could it possibly be that as well?

could the ecu be shutting down the turbo?? are you loosing boost?? have you modified the fuel cut off?

sound to me like its being starved of fuel which is being electronically protected to stop something serious going pop. something perhaps isnt matching up and wrong ideas are being sent to/from ecu/hks afr.....unfortunately, some such probs can never be diagnosed and its strip off and stock up.

if you dont get much luck, come to the FI forums here - http://celica.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?u...&f=37&submit=Go

Once the turbo kicks in, the car feels and drives like a million bucks. I don't think the problem is in the turbo, since this entire problem occurs before the turbo kicks in and before the turbo should kick in. Around 1500-3000rpm I don't expect much boost behind it, if any.

I'm gonna try to put in a Bosch LSU4.2 5-wire, wide-band O2 sensor, and see if it helps.

Could it possibly be my Knock Sensor?
