A single pound?? How long ago was this? Did you get your change in groats, ha'pennies, shillings and pieces of eight??

In also used to get  4 gallons of petrol for £1       It was that price for a long time.😃

I was only earning about £10 a week then.

Who can remember the days when you could get 4 spark plugs for £1     ?

I was the one selling them 😂🤦‍♂️ We used to sell Champion plugs in those days, and Lodge, who remembers Lodge plugs then, they were pink in colour

There were all sorts of plugs around in those day. People didn't need to worry

about which make they used.

If possible I’d love to see another 1.0 auto at warm idle to compare.
I’ve also checked to see how much movement there is when changing from P to D (brakes on).  The engine does move, perhaps a cm or two at most

Had the sparks changed today seeing that Einstein is 150 miles off 150,000.

I've not checked the service records but I'm assuming because NGK plugs were fitted, they were replaced around the 30,000 miles mark.

I hope the plugs fitted (bosch) are ok, i did tell the mechanic i don't mind the extra cost and wanted like for like.
