12v and usb in boot

Hi there

Got a 2021 GR Sport and in the boot behind a removable panel is a 12 feed and double usb feed. They all seem to be dead. I didn't know that the C-HR had these. Asked the dealer and they want to book it in to have a look as they say if they are there then they should work. 

When looking at other 2021 GR C-HRs they don't seem to have these side covers, let alone any supply plugs. 

Anyone else got either the side covers or the supply sockets?

Replying here as don't know how to edit my original post. 

I don't think the 12v and usb are Toyota accessories and probably have been fitted by the previous owner.

I had the side covers in both my C-HRs. The supply sockets, do indeed, look like they may have been fitted by a previous owner.

Thanks Big_D, just what I thought about the sockets. Pity they are not connected. Glad you've had the side covers. Thought ours was an odd ball! All others I've seen have the open plastic storage. Think the covers tidy the boot up and keep stuff in place.

How do you know that they are 'dead'? / What's your definition of 'dead' in this context?

Have you checked when the car is in Ready mode? (I wouldn't want anything live unless the car was in Ready mode.)

Have you undone the screws and checked the wiring? Chasing the wiring might well be a pain, but if they are not connected at all you have your answer! 😉

Checked the output from the 12v and usb with engine on and nothing. Unscrewed the panel and there are wires there. Next step will be trying to see where they go and what they connect to.

The previous owner may have also fitted an isolator switch for those sockets, so check around/under the dash area for any extra switches.

I have chr 2021 1.8 excel. It has usb point in boot and it is connected and live in ready mode. Not all models have it.
