Hello,

I have a leased new Toyota Camry 2024 SE about month ago. With full tank I am driving only 300miles which seems far less than it should be. This is for 80% city and 20% highway driving. And I am not an aggressive type of driver.

any advice or explnation?

Thanks,

Vardan

My 2019 2.5l hybrid does around 500 miles with mixed driving.

What consumption does it say on the car?

I'd imagine it would show around 40mpg easily.

Where are you located and which engine - 2.5 hybrid/non-hybrid or 3.5?

From previous experience as a passenger in an Avalon, 300 miles per tank sounds about right for the V6.

It says on Wikipedia that they don't make anything other than the hybrid 2.5 for the 2024 model.

There is a huge difference when it comes to if my wife drives the Camry (2019 2.5 Hybrid) and when I drive it: Usually she goes around 16 km/l (37.6 mpg) but after a few days with me behind the wheel it is around 17.5 km/l (~41 mpg) - I have tried to instruct her in less agressive driving, use of Eco Mode on motorways and told her next step would be to begin using cruise control and semi-automatic while on motorway.
This morning I am in the Camry and I got in with 15 km/l (35 mpg) according to the dash computer. I haven't made a manual control yet. I usually get around gets around 400-435 miles according to the onboard computer after refuelling. Again I haven't made a manual control of it yet.

When I drive to and from work (cross city rush hour) I always drive in Normal mode - usually also on the short strech of motorway we have near our home. She usually drive rush hour motorway (like me also mainly slow driving), so I believe it is mainly her acceleration and deceleration that needs to be tweaked.

The mpg numbers above is based on the onboard computer's "current" numbers, not the after action rapport I get when turning off the car.
