Need advice about possible bad ignition coils

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for some advice.

I've got an Avensis 2.0 VVTI 2006 with a 1AZ-FSE engine. It's got 258.000 kms on it.

When accelerating it feels quite slow and sluggish. Also it shocks a little when accelerating. More noticeable when cold.
Vibrates in lower rpms.
So far I have cleaned the throttle body, changed air filter & changed spark plugs.

I'm thinking that maybe a ignition coil has gone bad.
I'm looking at the coils and it seems to me that maybe the coil on cylinder 1 (and maybe cylinder 4) might be going bad.
The rubber on the inside of the coil is also quite brown and the rubber feels quite worn out. With a little hair fracture on the tip of the rubber.

Could someone give me advice or help me?
Thanks!

When my ignition coil went bad, it just completely died. There was no inbetween state. And I had lots of error messages on the dashboard.

What you could do is to buy some second hand ignition coils in eBay and replace yours. I did that and replaced the failed one and the other 3 and it's OK now. It costed me £25 for 4. I wouldn't recommend going to aftermarket one, and original new are way too expensive.
