Hi I have a 09 diesel .I m hearing a  intermittent noise when I change gear but also a loud noise from drivers side front wheel at low speed .I m wondering if there is a connection between the 2 noises . garage can't find any problem with the suspension

Loud noise from the wheel, may be the bearing and/or tyre. The clunking noise when changing gears, I cannot say exactly. It might really be the gearbox, or just normal wear on the selector cable (worn bushings).

Clunking noises from engine transmission set up often related to worn out clutch kit and or flywheel. Another possibility is broken mount, there are 4 of these and each needs to be checked. Garage should be able to find the problem.
