I've been trying to update mine, bought new subscription, but nothing is happening, I tried it with a usb stick, do you have to unzip it first then put the 6 files onto the stick? 5 iso and 1 text file

It's now uploading to car. Sent toyota a email explaining that the map is to old and had to contact them, got a reply thanking me for my purchase and enjoy my ride, nothing about the problem on how to download new full map.

Anyway just went to the car I thought I'll give it another bash and it's now downloading 8 of 21, been at it for 35mins upto now.

You would of thought that they would of emailed me to say they have sorted it , if I would of known  I could of started it earlier.

Haven't tried this yet, but will give it a go these days.

It seems we should first install the eStore app on the car's infotainment, and then try to install the Map update from eStore.

Here is a youtube link showing how to install the app, and got a screenshot from Toyota's site showing there is a map update available.....

Hi

Just wondering if you've heard anything back form Toyota

Unfortunately I have not heard anything. I will probably send another email in the coming days. The latest updates that the dealer shows is a big disappointment to be honest. We're still running on Q4 2022 data, when my old Touch 2 system updated each half year.

I wish they actually published a blog or updates in general on the status of their tech within their existing cars. I can imagine its the same with all manufacturers but needs to change imo

Hi All

Have had a letter from Toyota saying there will be an update for my My23 excel via OTA for the hazard lights problem that has been mentioned before, and it will download automatically.

Will let you know when this happens

On my letter it says my update will be done automatically, but I won’t know if it’s happening or even after if has happened.

apparently I just have to trust that it has actually happened, with no way of checking!

Shame Toyota cant program the screen to display a message that the update has installed successfully & request the drive to acknowledge the message by press an OK button on screen.

Thought I'd throw in an update, I eventually received a response back to my initial email to Toyota asking about OTA updates.

We are 'potentially' getting an OTA update at the end of the year/start of next year. What for, I don't know. They just said that if it is performing well, they won't send any updates. So it seems they won't be making any gradual changes or improvements, they'll just stick as is. If it works they leave it.

The maps automatically update 24 times a year, with no notification that they have updated, which makes it hard for us to know if it actually has been updated or not.

Good to hear, hopefully that update comes with wireless android auto and a few other features.

For those that are complaining about the lack of updates, Google the notorious VW mk8 golf MIB infotainment and the multiple buggy updates that were rushed through to try and fix the multiple flaws they had from factory.

Seems like Toyota are being very cautious about this, which can only be a good thing.

Hopefully it will come soon then, i'm waiting on the recall update that is supposed to be pushed, also the one annoying thing is the profile sync popup which pops up occaisonally and as some now it's highly distracting as it takes up the whole screen.

its not even occasionally. it is every fcking time when you leave the car for less than 5min inbetween drives. for me it means every day since i take kid to kindergarten which makes ~3min pause between drive to work. annoying af.

nonworking wireless android auto is another nice touch on brand new car. and rain sensor that brushes basically dry and clean window just because its mildly misting outside. never have i ever had rain sensor this dumb. on every other car i was able to just leave wipers in rain sensor mode and forget. not on this car

yea to be fair i noticed that as well, i think similar with my partners Yaris Cross.
I ended up getting aa wireless which works flawlessly just s shame i had to buy an addon to get wireless android auto.
Can't say i've had any issue like you have with the rain sensors though.
