I’ve got a ‘73 plate Corolla GR Sport which recently had its first service. Since then, I’ve just spotted where there used to be a mileage counter and a little spanner I’ve now got an A icon.

what’s the A next to ready stand for? I’m assuming it’s counting up to the next service.

Looks like the trip mileage recorder. Usually you can scroll through total mileage, A and B.

Toyotas don't generally have a service interval display (a few of the diesels did, but I've never seen one on a hybrid).  I actually use 'B' as a manual service interval display, I just reset it when the car has had a service.

You can switch between total mileage, trip A, trip B and service interval from the ODO button at your left knee. Holding down the button resets trip meter.

Ahh, that makes more sense. To be fair, I think it only showed mileage indicator for service when the car starts - I’ll double check but think it switched to odometer after.

thanks everyone 🙂
