I’ve had my corolla t sport for some time now, and it’s always seemed to have had a bit of an intermittent rattle at idle once the oil has gotten warm (doesn’t seem to do it after drives where the car wasn’t put into lift). Always thought it to be the timing chain, but that has recently been replaced and the noise persists. The VVT sprocket wasn’t replaced, however, so wondering wether it could either be that or a bearing somewhere along the path of the auxiliary belt. Haven’t had any luck on any of the forums so thought i’d post it myself and see if anyone had any clue of what it could be.
