Weird Boost

Fitted my FCD, boost gauge & grainer valve, FCD is set to 16psi.

have disabled the VSV (removed the short tube and replaced with 2 blocked tubes)

now my issue is that in 1st and 2nd gear I hit 14psi but shift to 3rd and i then only get 8psi, 4th 8psi, 5th 8 psi. Slow down put it in 2nd boot it 14psi...

running optimax

can some one tell me why???

decided i have my FCD wired wrong, problem is with brown wire.

instructions say 1st ecu plug E2 brown sensor ground but

according to this

ecu wiring

E2 is found in plug 2, i wired to this as i assumed this was correct, are the instructions wrong? the above says the brown in plug 1 is E02 power ground?

ok rewired, seems wires are in differnet places for each revision, paul ports instructions have got me 100% sure its correctly wired up.

did ecu reset, hit 16psi, fuel cut.

turned down grainger val 1st and 2nd boosts hard to 14.5 psi no problem, but the hit third and it doesn't make more than 12psi, fourth 10 psi and about 8 psi by 5th.

really ****** me off over 70mph n/a engined the car was way faster.

what could be the problem. HELP :ffs:

I dunno mate... for this kind of stuff I'd just let my garage have a look at it.

totally happy now, removed the removable silence from the exhaust, I had to wind the grainger valve out after as it hit 16 psi in each gear :)
