I’ve bought a 2010 Aygo with an engine whistle. I thought it might be the alternator or the belt (or whatever else runs off it) so bought replacements.
I started swapping the parts today and found that the tensioning bracket for the belt is broken in two, which I now suspect was the culprit (although the alternator was cracked too).
I need a new bracket but can’t find the part number on any catalogue and don’t know what to call it.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks all. I was struggling to find it as it’s not in the alternator section or aux belt. It’s in with cooling.
I found it eventually and replaced for £6.60 from main dealer. Pretty good value.
On to the next thing!
