Hello everyone from greece! I have a problem with my avensis t25 with cdt250 diesel engine. When the engine stops running for about 4 hours or longer it struggles to start. If i first pump the diesel filter and then trying to start the engine it starts normally. If i dont do this its cranking for about 10 times and then starts. That means tha the fuel returns back to the tank. I have changed the suction control valve with a new denso but nothing changed. I have changed also the filter base with a new one and also the problem didnt fix. I cheched also for a broken fuel tank cap but its not the problem either. Also i chech for the common rail with an obd tester and it seems to work perfectly fine as it instantaneously increase the fuel pressure. It may be the diesel pump but i havent noticed any strange thing with it. Does anyone had the same or similar problem?

Thanks for your time guys!!!

Could it be the SCV from the pump? As they are responsible for the suction control?

I found the solution to my problem and i'm posting this so everyone who has a similar problem can check this too. In my occasion it was the floater inside the tank as in the uploaded photo. I replaced it with a new one from toyota dealership. Its cost is about 200 euros.
