2023 CHR Exposed wiring rear bumper

Hi,

My wife’s 2023 CHR has a new scuff on the centre of the rear bumper. I checked for damage and noticed that the wiring loom an connectors are exposed between the rear bumper and the fuel tank and heat shield. 
Should it be like that or is there a panel missing? See image

Could simply be a part-harness for an EU LHD car for either the reversing light or fog light connection. Same difference with an EU car v UK RHD build specification. Always cheaper to put pre-wiring in for market options as well 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for the reply. I can see what the harness is but should it have any sort of cover to protect connectors from rain, snow etc ?

I’ve recently seen an example of wiring like this behind the bumper of a newish VW Touareg and it’s identical - no end cover on the spare plug connector 🤷‍♂️

Could someone check the area between the chr rear bumper and fuel tank please a post a photo ?? I just want to see if there is any protection for the wiring missing on our CHR. Thanks
