Windows open/close on 21/22 RAV4 HEV Remote

I just programmed this myself using the Car Scanner app on my phone and my clone OBD dongle, easy peasy.

Holding the unlock button and windows open whilst held after a delay, likewise with the lock and they close.

Lots of other tweaks available but most were already active so nothing else I wanted to change.

App is 'Car Scanner' free version, works for a single vehicle make/model at a time but its easy to change to a different vehicle as needed.

I got given my dongle free but virtually any bluetooth ELM27 OBD2 dongle should work as all it does is provide a bluetooth link from the phone to the car, I have an old £5 one from China works too.

But the newer one I got does connect easily and quick so just FYI

Plug in dongle. Put car to READY, find the dongle bluetooth on phone and pair (if 1st time). Open the app and set the vehicle profile if not done before, connect. Then there is a coding section with various settings. I also did a full vehicle system scan which takes 10 minutes. Quite a few one off error codes but nothing too worrying so I cleared them to see if any reoccur.

Disconnect on app and changes are immediate.

Once connected, on app main screen - select Settings - then top option Coding and Service, you get a warning about your own risk, then it loads the files, takes a while. Then you get a menu of lots and lots of things you can change. The window option is under 'power windows'

I will do this on the replacement car in September. I've asked the dealer to sort this so many times and each time they forget to do it. DIY.
