Front and rear dash cams to go in and I need the back bumper off for a little exploratory operation 😉   Mudflaps and my own sport wheels with all season tyres went on today.  That gave me the chance to clean the glue from previous weights and thoroughly clean them.

I bought the wheels off eBay.  They were literally like new and the tyres are Goodyear all season (Contact 4 I think) off black circles.

@anchorman a brave man indeed.

I would be worried of breaking clips or ending up with rattles.

It can be a challenge in cold weather when everything is brittle but these days, the plastic is so good it rarely causes a problem.  If it’ll break for me it could break in production and the last thing they want is anything slowing down production.

I'd only ever have that kind of trust with Toyota plastics - As much as reviewers lambaste them, they are much more robust than the garbage plastics most other marques use, that are fine when the car is new but give them a few years and they're brittle as heck and fracture if you look at them the wrong way.

My dad nearly had a heart attack when I was running the Dashcam wiring in his old Verso, as I just yanked hard on most of the plastic trims to pop them them out of their clips - He's used to Fords where everything's screwed in because that kind of force would have probably snapped all the plastics in half :laugh:

But good grief anchs, you should apply for a job with the Haynes manual people! :laugh:
