Hi all just been told my crankshaft pulley is starting to split, is this a difficult job? my engine is the 2.0 D4D 2WW.

The hard bit is getting the replacement and paying for it! I had to replace my old T22 7A-FE way back, when the rubber separated, destroying the belt in the process. I was fortunate to be a couple of minutes from my house. You need to get the pulley replaced or you could be left stranded! If the pulley is difficult remove, there are usually threaded holes to use bolts screwed in to force the pulley off the crankshaft, similar to removing a brake disc off the hub.

It depends on what you mean by difficult job, and how long you can have your car off the road.
