No crank no dash lights no signs of life

Hi everyone. I have a Camry 2009 2az fe Japan build. A week ago I took the Battery off and put it back today but the car wasn’t showing any signs of life at all when I tried to turn over the key. So far I’ve done this: checked all of the fuses, tested battery(13v), jumped the starter solenoid but that didn’t work either(even though it receives power and there were sparks a little), cleaned the ground wire under the Battery. When I connect the positive cable after negative there are no sparks when usually should be. A month ago  the Battery was leaking so there is a lot of battery corrosion under the battery placement on the transmission and around some connectors on it but again it was working with it for few weeks. I would love to hear an advice for this electrical issue where should I dig and what should I troubleshoot

new Battery time it may show voltage with no load, put it under any load and its dead - the fact it was leaking shows that is well past the end of its life, and no doubt has dropped its acid

There should be fuses that should always have power? I think non of the fuses in the box under the hood had power but I’m going to check it again. I quite don’t understand how the box is connected to the Battery so I could check is there a break in the line

well you need to check the fusible links in the main fusebox 2 modules in the bottom left corner

2 examples of what the fusible links look like

82620-07050

82620-33030

I think your alternator has failed and killed the Battery (too much power boiled the acid in the battery) and that's why it put acid everywhere - or the car was jumped with the terminals reversed

Thanks for answering. Fusible links are fine as far as I can see. The thing that I forgot to mention is that the car Battery was on its side for some time(a month maybe) so that’s why it started to leak I guess. And the same issue with completely working Battery from different car.

What I think is the ground from Battery to the body is broken even to it’s connected. Because there are no signals of life, zero electricity, nothing works. I’m going to check that and let know

I believe it is the immobilizer system on your car . It’s the antitheft system. Do you have a 2nd key. Try your other key. It could be a bad module also for the anti theft system. You can try and drain all the power in your car’s stored modules. Use a capacitor between the Battery cables and drain the power. Then try to start it after 15 minutes. If this doesn’t work you will have to call a locksmith  to come to the car and reprogram the system. Make sure he has the ability to do this process. It takes the proper scan tool. If the Battery is good , connections all around are good , fuses are good. Hopefully the immobilizer module is good also because if not it’s buried in the dash. A locksmith will be cheaper than the Toyota dealer. First try your other key that may do it. Good luck. Let us know .

Put a new battery on it, the correct one for the car and make sure it's secured in place otherwise it will rip the cables apart

I put from the exact same car and it didn’t work.

But wouldn’t at least something work? Like a light bulb inside on the ceiling, window etc? And again when I put the Battery in there are no sparks going.

So you have more of a problem of no crank and no start. Try the 2nd key , but it has to be a connection. Make sure the ground cable is connected to a clean surface, no rust , no oxidation at the point of contact. Positive Battery terminal is good, all wires are connected properly. Even if the immobilizer is the problem of no crank, no start , you still should have power to lights , interior lights. If it isn’t a bad connections , fuses are good , Battery is good. Cables and terminals are clean and tight to the Battery, all wires connected properly. Ground wire too. Check to see if you’re getting power to the fuse box. I’m not an auto electrical expert, but you may need a specialist in auto electrical to work on it. But I believe something is disconnected or making a poor connection. Did you check the power and cable to the starter ? Good luck, you might need a pro to look at it
