DAB+ radio

Recently bought a Yaris Cross but find I cannot get DAB+ stations on the radio. My previous older car (Skoda) had this facility and I miss Talk Radio (no rude comments please). Can anyone comment on this?

all DAB is DAB+ now, (all stations are just listed as DAB) if the car come from a different area you will need to retune it

then find the multiplex with the station you require

Thanks very much for your reply, but how do I retune the radio?

I bought the car in Devon but it has a FP plate so probably originated elsewhere.

Looking at the digital radio postcode checker funnily enough it doesn't list Talk Radio which is odd as I received it OK in my last car, although it did fade at times.

There is a retune function buried in the menus somewhere but as I am not sure which head unit your Cross has, cannot help further...

Just look for "retune", "tune" or similar, somewhere in the DAB menus...

it depends is you have the 8" touch 2 (silver buttons) or the 9" smart connect

edit. just remembered the word Toyota uses for tuning - Ensemble

the list should auto update on its own if you list by ensemble instead of alphabetically, Talkradio as it is called now should be on 11a

you may want to do a personal data reset and let the radio start a fresh

The radio n the yaris and the cross is definitely DAB+ enabled. I have found though that the bee sting antenna fitted is not particularly sensitive as I frequently lose reception compared to my Mk3 yaris which had a whip antenna and worked a lot better with weak signals.

Thanks, that could be the answer. There seems no way to retune dab, unlike fm.

I can pick up gbnews though which is dab+ but it fades out in town

The Mk4 all have a sharks fin on the roof, a bee sting is a short whip aerial

My DAB signal has always been iffy in my Yaris Cross but to be fair my previous Audi and my wife’s Skoda had the same issue.

I wonder if it is the old dashcam/rfi issue
