Hello!

I used to post here many years ago as Arthurpewty...I can't log into that account...so here I am with this account!

I have a question about my 2nd car.

Yesterday someone collided with my 2020 Rolla Excel and trashed the n/s front bumper...then drove off and didn't tell me

That is what it is...🤬🤬🤬

The problem is that the parking sensors keeps bleeping randomly and I have to temporarily switch them off.

So is there a way to switch off the sensors until the bumper is repaired?

Thanks in advance 😊👍IMG-20240630-WA0005-1.thumb.jpg.4f67115a7bf65ccaeb2dab6b7cbbff79.jpg

Can you accept the sensor, put it back in the hole and tape it secure as a temporary repair? Can you turn them off in the cluster settings?

I have a post-facelift (24MY) version;   I can turn the sensors, and the associated braking function, on/off in the Settings menu.   What I am not sure about is whether they will default back to 'on' when the car is restarted.

I assume that your dash display is probably different but that similar menu options are available?

Hey thanks for that. It has seemed to work as a permanent setting unless it refreshes as default after a set amount of time.

I tried it and switched everything off for a couple of minutes and it's all good.

Thanks for the info... legend 😊👍

You're welcome.   Shame that someone damaged your car and didn't leave details or report it.   Sadly, all too common these days.
