Hey Guys !

I faced with a weird humming noise coming from the left front . Starts at 80km/h and loudest at 114km/h . When i jump off the gas pedal the noise more clear .Above 120km/ cant recognize the noise . (Sounds like a bear ring But if you drive from side to side nothing change in the noise as the bearring would do )  the 5th garage not abel to find the cause .They all said different thing but the noise still there . Have you ever experienced something like this ?

2017 Auris Touring Sport 1.8 hybrid

thanks for reply

Hi,

what is the total mileage of the car and has it ever had transmission fluid changed?
These whining or humming noises are very typical for Toyota hybrids because of the high rpm of the transmission and electric motors gears , up to 16000rpm in your car , newer models 19000 and above.
For the wheel bearing best way to check is lift both front sides on axle stands with wheels off the ground, start the car and set in D, go to each wheel and while it’s rotating touch carefully the spring, if there are any vibrations felt through the spring this wheel bearing is bad.
If your car has over 60000 miles an transmission fluid drain and refill service is recommended. Total oil put will be around 3ltr. 👍
