Auris head unit restarts

Hi all, I have a 2014 Toyota Auris Excel and the head unit sometimes does a restart 5 minutes into a drive. Not sure if it's related but sometimes we have to turn the car off and on again to get the bluetooth to work too. I've checked the software version and it's 2.8.4L. Is it just the case that it needs a firmware/software update or is it something easier or even more sinister? Any help is appreciated.
