Language display issue in yaris cross 22

I got a 22 reg yaris cross with HUD display. From previous forum topics I learnt that the car inbuilt multimedia system (touch2go navigation) does not support display asian characters. 😑

But quite surprise and funny is when I change the track while playing music on my phone, the HUD display can show the asian characters correctly 🥳

Just wonder is that HUD and multimedia system are running on two different OS, so they got different performance on support asian characters display🤔

Is your Yaris cross official uk car or jdm import ? 
If later then no surprise some functions are in Japanese.

I think it is official uk car as I bought it from official dealer as approved use car. Also the cab config is different from those Japan version.
