Android Auto Wifi Regulation Change

Just been out on a trip using wireless Android Auto and a warning popped up on the multimedia screen that there has been a wifi regulation change and I must now connect by USB to continue using Android Auto. Anyone else have this or know what it is about?

Seems like someone else has had the problem:

😳 Wow I've no idea but hopefully one of the Toyota employees that come here sometimes might be able to help.

I've not heard of any "regulations" changing, so hopefully it's a bug with a badly translated Japanese error message...

"Regulation" could mean "provision"

So maybe it's just saying it lost the WiFi connection to your phone.

Maybe your phone turned its WiFi hotspot off automatically? Maybe to save Battery or something?

Let us know if it happens repeatedly and if you can spot a pattern.

I'm pretty sure Toyota aren't going to take away Wireless AA (not without some announcement) 👍
