Weird sound coming from engine room

Hi,

Im at my wits end. I can hear a sound coming from around the engine at the drivers side. It sound like something scraping and then a pebble being thrown if that makes sense.

Now, the sound comes at a very specific time. I start the engine and put the car in 1st. Then accelerate slowly a put the car in second. Then accelerate again and at around 1300-1500 rpm approximately the sound comes. Every time. And only once per motor start. To replicate I need to turn the engine off and that do the same. I can even time the sound so its not random. And if I keep the engine under the 1300 rpm I can drive as far and as long I want until I accelerate up to the 1300-1500 range.

Any idea what it can be? As I said Im at my wits end.

That is a strange sound! Sounds like something slipping on its mounts... If your phone was recording from the driver's seat, it also sounds as if it were coming from the rear of the car judging by the "clunk" sound...

Does the car stay in a straight line if you brake strongly? (ie. is doesn't pull from one side or the other...)

I am assuming that your Yaris is a non-hybrid?

It is not a hybrid. It stays straight when I break. I also checked the bearings etc. Nothing wrong with what I could tell. It certainly is a mystery.
