Apple phone connecting to Avensis

Replaced my phone recently to an Apple 11 tried to connect to my 2016 2.o D4D the phone connects and can be used but will not download phone directory. However on my wifes Toyota Aygo 2019 all phonebooks past calls etc download with ease any body know how fix this?

Problem solved!! when your i phone is connected by bluetooth to the car go into settings on i phone then touch (i) its blue in colour and you will find that the sync contacts needs to be activated then the phone book will download. Found this answer on i phone help forum. My wifes Aygo seems to update automatically so not a problem with newer Toyotas.
