Power sliding door issues

Hi guys iv got an Estima 2010 plate and recently I've been having issues with my electric door when I close it it reopens itself straight away and remains like that. Has anyone come across this problem and if so any solutions. I've had a look on Google and Youtube but most people have the issue of the door not opening up. Thanks in advance.

Sounds similar to my sliding door issue.

Just needs a good lub up in my case.

A piece of grit in the track is all it takes. There is a track top and bottom that you can see when the door is open and also a mid rail that runs under the rear glass. Thats where my bit of grit was so I washed it out and then a light spray with WD40.  There is another thread on this forum that I posted the pictures on.

Then the obstruction is still there, blast it with a hose or pressure washer in the exterior track under the rear window. There is no magic sensor curtain, the motor drive will just sense the increase in current draw caused by an obstruction.

Good luck and keep at it.

2015 Estima, power sliding doors on both sides.

My driver's side door has started playing up lately, it's opens fine but when I press the button to close the door it doesn't close. The door tries to move, I can see the motor trying to move it, but then it beeps and stops.

If I physically push on the interior handle to get it moving, then it carries on closing and closes ok by itself. It just needs that initial push to get it started.

It looks like there is some kind of latch on the lower rail that holds the door in the open position, maybe that is not releasing properly? I've sprayed WD-40 around that area and lubed the rails, but no luck.

Any ideas?

@wedgepilot

Same as above, a bit of dirt or grit build up right at the end of the track. Wash it out thoroughly then lightly lubricate. Too much oil or grease will allow more dirt to stick to it.
