Evening all. I have, at the moment, an Avensis 1.8 TR Valvematic 1.8 petrol estate; my wife however has never been able to get used to the size of the car or the EPB. I have therefore bought (and will be P/X'ing my Avensis) a 2018 Auris H/B 1.2T petrol, manual Icon Tech TSS, with 16k miles, 1 owner, FMDSH.....with a 'normal' handbrake!  My son has a 2019 Corolla with the same engine and I was really impressed. Reading the forums there don't seem to be (in typical Toyota fashion) any major faults/issues with that powerplant, so fingers crossed.

Good choice. 
If me I will happily buy and drive the same car if my job did not involve driving in London. 👌
