I lost only four thousand on my 2020 Lexus NX after 2 years which was when cars were in short supply.  I lost significantly more just changing my UX from a 250 to a 300.  It would have been impossible without some severe negotiation but then you have to ask, if you’re in the position of no debt and being close to dropping off your perch, what’s the point in squirrelling money away?   I know several people that are proper well off and live like church mice.   Wtf are they waiting to happen?

So true...my mother rang me last night as she wants to change her car which is 5 years old and has 10000miles on it for a new one...cost to change is 15k.

She is 79 and worried about spending that amount although she has always loved her cars and they give her a lot of joy.

I said get it spent as you can't take it with you but if you end up in a care home the local authority will.

Talking to the salesman again today he said there’s an event coming up next month with offers on for the September reg, can’t really justify swapping atm, unless it’s a really good offer…

Yeah Cyker, I know you are obviously not like that, but the only problem is, that the people who would like to get their greasy mitts on my assets are the type who refuse to give any kind of help when you get frail and old, they only are interested in OPM (other people's money).

On the other hand,if you come up here, and give the Tsport a wash and polish on a Sunday in time for the car meet, I might see my way clear to giving you a couple of quid,a cup of tea with no milk, and a plate of custard creams from my huge stash of assorted biscuits.
