Hello everyone, I've just sold my BMW 320d and bought a 72 plate Corolla Touring Sports 2.0 in Design trim. I think I've found my dream car.

Welcome

Did you have any other cars on your list when viewing.

Great choice and a slight regret from me that i didn't get a touring instead of a hatch.

Really?? I would have thought the 320d was a much nicer car!

The Corolla hybrid will destroy it for mpg and drivetrain smoothness - Not hard vs a high-powered diesel, but I would have thought the interior alone would be a lot better in the BMW! :confused1:

Hello guys, well to answer your questions, I had considered some PHEVs like the Skoda Octavia but Jesus wept, it’s a !Removed! Skoda and who can be fussed plugging stuff in. As for my 320d, it was a 16 year old car! Still very nice, just tired technology. Nothing wrong with driving a BMW, but I just couldn’t deal with owning one anymore! This moves faster, is quieter, is fully tricked out, is more economical, more comfortable and has a great big boot. It also looks essence and will never break down as long as I feed it oil and services. The BMW would regularly kick me in the !Removed! at MOT time and electrics would fail whenever they wanted. Ain’t going to happen in this car!

Hate is a very strong word Paul. Let’s settle for “strongly averse to” BMWs! Haha. And as for Toyota, well, I think they’re the epitome of Japanese design principles. Balanced.
