Hi,

My wife and I are just about to pull the trigger on a 2021 Yaris Hybrid.

We want to fit a towbar for a couple of bikes. Everything I've found online suggests this should be fine, but any decent installer will want to check the weights printed on the manufacturer's label (I.d have thought) rather than doing semi-random Internet searches like I'm doing!

The user manual suggests the manufacturer's label is inside the nearside door. When I saw the car last, I checked there, but all I found was a black strip containing the VIN, a QR code of the VIN and the magic number 990. I've got the VIN, but it seems I can't derive the weights from that alone.

Can anyone with this model inform me where the manufacturer's label is actually located, so I can get the seller to send me a photo?

Thanks for any info.

You will be (legally) restricted to 50KG nose weight for the bikes, if you have electric bikes, two, along with the rack will probably exceed that. Of course you might want to ignore that and it's up to you what you put on it once fitted

Thanks both - that's very useful.

We don't have electric bikes yet, but they'll be coming in the next decade or so.....
