push button start won't start after charging battery

My Auris Battery went flat so I recharged it.
All is looking good, lights fully bright, dashboard lit up like a xmas tree but push button start won't respond at all.
The little red security light is flashing.

I think this may be the root of the problem but cannot find a way to overide it

Check your key pairing. Looks like you haven’t fully unlocked the car as the immobiliser is active.

Hold the key up to the Start button for a bit - Hopefully the Security light will go out. If it doesn't, hold the brake pedal and press the Start button with the key and see if that makes any difference.

Start button works but you need to do second run.

Step on brake pedal ans push start button once if the car doesn’t start release brake pedal then step on brake again and push again, try this method.

Thanks one and all. Tried everything and still won't start.
I'm trying now to eliminate the Battery as the problem. Is it possible that with everything working well in the way of lights horn etc that the Battery is not sufficiently charged.
One thing I've just thought of - the key fob will not lock/unlock the doors. They do on the interior buttons.
The key fob Battery is brand new

The key fob needs to be re-paired with the car

Indeed, reprogram your key fobs.
To do that follow the instructions below:

Toyota Key Fob Programming Process
  1. Get into the driver's seat of your Toyota. ...
  2. Turn your key in the ignition from “off” to “on.” - this in your case will be press twice start button without stepping on the brake pedal.
  3. Turn your key in the ignition from “off” to “on again within five seconds.
  4. Remove your key from the ignition.
  5. Within 40 seconds, close and open the driver's door twice.

You don't need to pair the key at all (that only does the door locking)

get in the car, close the door, place the fob near or on the stop/start button till you hear the steering lock, then press and hold the start button

  OR

place the key on or near the start button till you hear the steering lock, press the start button once, this will light up the dash, then put your foot on the brake and press the start button again for ready mode

as a fail-safe the car turns off the keyless entry and start after a flat Battery to re-enable go into the touch settings - vehicle - customizations

fob Battery - because it is new, doesn't mean it's good, it may be out of date, you haven't removed the film, the Battery is in upside down, or it's the wrong cell type for the fob

go with a branded cell

Ah sorry for late reply.
3. is double press on push start button without stepping on the brake pedal

4. Does not apply to you.

Or perhaps try as flash recommended

I had previously an issue with my key fobs for no apparent reason and I did these tricks push button double click twice within 5 seconds and then open and close drivers door twice within 40 seconds if I remember correctly and both key fobs started working again.
