Hi!

I noticed two strange things and I wonder if you observed the same thing on your cars 🤔

My Aygo has a low trim-level with a single button for the AC, it is not the version with the digital display of the temperature.

1) The AC regularly sets itself on when I start the car, while it was off when the car was last parked. This does not happen when I am driving, only when I start the car. I do not think it is remotely activated as I do not use the app. The car is parked in an underground parking lot, the air inside the parking is not fresh but not baking hot either so I do not think a sensor might start it.

2) Since a few days, my AC produces a loud "click" every 5 or 10 seconds when it is on. It can be heard both from inside and outside the car. I know that this sound comes from the AC because it stops when I turn off the AC.

The car and the AC work normally, with no warning signal lit.

Many thanks!!!

The loud click is the A/C compressor clutch engaging and disengaging as and when required. This is normal but if you feel it is too loud then I suggest asking your dealer.

Do you have your venting set to the windscreen only? IIRC with some Manufacturers, this enables the AC automatically to help clear the screen of any fogging, or misting up.

Thanks for the replies and sorry for the late answer.

The sound never appeared again.

@DJ123 I didn't know that the AC could be automatically enabled when the venting pointed to the windscreen. The Aygo X actually does it, thanks for the info, this helped a lop. Not used to AC.

In some cars it is even indicated AC is not (switched) on but it still is.

In the aygoX,  the start stop will not work when air is aimed only at the front windscreen and it will indicate : start/stop not available due to a/c settings.
