My wife's '95 4 cyl Camry made a rare appearance at the dealer a couple of weeks ago. The "steering wheel nut torque" recall hadn't been done and the electric door locks were locking every ten or fifteen seconds. That little thump will drive you nuts after a while.

Anyway, the dealer came back with a laundry list of things that the car "needed". He lied that the rear brakes had only 5% of the lining left. I discovered that lie after I bought new brake shoes & pulled the drums. The drums had never even been pulled, much less the linings measured. Changed them anyway. One of the other thing that he said the car needed was both front & rear motor mounts. He asked If I heard that thump when I got on & off the gas. I didn't before & still don't. They look decent, nothing seems to be sagging or leaking (hydraulicly damped mounts??) there is no thump as if the engine's torque reaction is seperating the mount and then letting it drop back down.

Any ideas or do I just have another typically dishonest Toyota dealer.
