I like the Bi-tone look. I have a pan roof so the roof is black already. Just wondering (dangerous) how difficult it would be to wrap the remaining bits to get the Bi-tone effect? Obviously would have to let the insurance company know but any thoughts?

I have no experience myself but, from what I've seen watching shows like 'Flipping Bangers,' the process is safe enough (comes off with a hair dryer), just tricky to get right. The biggest risk is losing the cost of the vinyl itself in the event that it turns out badly.

Not difficult at all.
I was thinking the same to do when need to cover rust spots and other body damage from age and mileage. It will look cool. I haven’t done the roof as black attracts heat and makes the car hotter. In UK perhaps not a big  deal as the sun especially this year not too often comes out.
Insurance also not an issue, just need to tell them.
You can do by yourself too. 👍 Dint forget to share pictures when ready. 👌

A job like this it would be best to pay a professional to wrap it.

I'm all for DIY to save costs where possible but this isn't one of those situations.

No, not something I would attempt myself, will get some quotes. Not had any experience of wrapping, what happens to 'bare edges' where the wrap meets the paintwork as there are several?

I have no experience of wrapping cars, but there are specialists and body shops who will do this (eg I am aware of a local "smart repair" workshop that does).   The wrap industry is widespread now - not just for esoteric cars but also for lorry and van signage, police cars etc.

When in Lanzarote a while ago, the cabs were white with a milky coffee coloured roof - some were Corollas too.  I wondered if these were wrapped but did not get the chance to expore.

Hi.

If you have any issues with insurance for any kind of vinyl wrap then please feel free to drop me a line.

Regards,

Dan.

I worked at a Toyota dealer a few years ago and you got the odd Yaris that the customers wanted a black roof so they got someone in. Looked just as good but might not last as well as paint.
