Hi,

I have a 2005 Corolla Verso 2.0 D4D with the 1CD-FTV engine.

It appears to have an oil / diesel leak on the upper right side of the engine.

I've had a search of the forums and I suspect it may be the injector pipe seals part no. 23681-17010:

I'm hoping for some member advice on:

1) Any tips on how to clean off the engine bay, especially a few electric wires and connectors that have been affected. Would soap and water be ok?

2) Are there any other common leaks that this could be that it's possible to see from the photos? (I know the best way is to clean off the engine and see where the leak re-emerges unfortunately this isn't an option for me at the moment as it's my dad's car and 75 miles away. Any ideas and suggestions are appreciated as any cheap parts I can order ahead and it might save me a journey just to diagnose the issue.)

Thanks in advance!

Halfords "Engine and Parts Degreaser" - £5.99, will be suitable.
