What fuse taps would I need if I was hardwiring a front only dash cam? Specific Dashcam would be Viofo A119 Mini 2 but on their website it gives you a choice of either ATS/Mini/Micro2/ATC fuse tap.

I'd only want the Dashcam working when the car is on as I'm worried about Battery drain.

Should be micro, the smallest one same as my Yaris. Fyi, mine is tapped on the rear wiper fuse.

the correct type is a Low Profile Mini, sometimes it's incorrectly called micro

Getting conflicting responses in this same post lol. Are you definitely sure it's Mini? Would I even need to use it if I piggyback off a different wire?

you can confirm it yourself by pulling a fuse if you like - posted the pic for identification purposes

I see. Thanks, I'll confirm when I get it hardwired in the future.

Used the fuse box under the glove box. Fuse for the 12v power socket so as not to interrupt any critical circuits if the cam pops a fuse. Made a harness with these available  from Amazon and bolted the earth eyelet to a ground point on the dash.

When you say fuse for the 12v power socket does that disable the power socket too?

No. This device takes 2 fuses. One goes to the dash cam and you put the fuse from the box into the piggy back and refill to the box.
