Strange Toyota Corolla logo

Hi guys,

I'm on vacation in south side (Greek side) of Cypruss island. I saw Corolla hatchback model 2021 with front grill Badge like "C" letter instead of Toyota logo. Do you know something about it???? Unfortunatelly I didn't have phone to make a picture. It looks like letter C, and in upper side there are 3 blue triangles or something like that

That's the JDM logo of the Corolla. For some reason they put that logo instead of the normal Toyota one at the front.

Ooook! And what is JDM? Japanese Domestic Market ? If yes, is it like...some company which resales Toyotas in some regions/countries?

Yes, Japanese Domestic Market.  

This would be a grey import - not supported by Toyota Europe as regards warranty, etc.  Grey imports are quite popular in some countries, as they tend to be cheaper used buys than European market vehicles.

Some models (e.g. the Estima, Alphard, etc) are popular grey imports in the UK.

Grey imports of Japanese cars seem very popular in Cyprus, partly due to new cars being relatively expensive there, and of course they drive on the same side of the road as Japan.

A friend of mine in Cyprus owned a grey import JDM Toyota Paseo for years, and I was always intrigued by what appeared to be the Japanese equivalent of a tax disc from the 1990s still firmly stuck to the windscreen. The car was a slightly odd spec, very basic, 4 speed manual gearbox, but with superb aircon.
