De-activate parking lights & retrofit automatic headlights

Recommended Posts

Hey guys!

I have a 2016 yaris icon, I would like to deactivate the parking lights being on when the headlights are turned to low beam. When I turn my car off the low beams turn off but not the parking lights. I do not have the lights set to parking but they remain on. Is there any way to avoid having to manually turn the lights off and have them just switch off when I turn the car off?

Additionally I would like to know if its possible to retrofit the automatic headlight sensors, (Sensor and switch if wiring is already there.)

Thank you!

in a word no, auto lights are very complex, side lights or DRLs ? - DRLs are a legal requirement as of 2014, what headlights do you have

Edit. if the lights are in the off position you may have the follow me home function turned on (leaves the sidelights on for a set amount of time)

Edit2. have a look on the touch2 - Settings - General - Vehicle - Customizations

PDF is 2017 1st facelift so the same as a 2016
